Rio Band Families,
A few items to share:
- Our next Small Ensemble Night will be this Wednesday, 11/18 at 7pm in the band room. Come on out!
- This Thursday, 11/19 will be band picture day. We’ll take group pictures for the yearbook, and they may be made available for purchase by families. More info when I have it.
- Mr Kiesner and I are members of the Sacramento Jazz Orchestra (SJO), which has many of the area’s finest Jazz musicians. We have two gigs coming up that some of you may be interested in attending. This Sunday we’ll be performing a set of all original music at CSUS, as part of the Festival of New American Music. The free show will be at noon in the CSUS Recital Hall. On Monday, 11/30 SJO will be playing Yoshi’s Jazz Club, at Jack London Square in Oakland. Show time is 8pm, and tickets are available at yoshis.com
