Please join Rio Band for 17 hours of non stop fun and music!  Here is the schedule of events:

7am-1:50pm: Performances for Rio students

2-3pm: HCB, AM and Smamble perform for Rio Staff

3:15-4:20pm: HCB with middle school kids

4:30-5:30pm: ACB with elementary school kids

5:50-8:45pm: Public concert- In order: FM, PM, AM, ICB, ACB, HCB

9-10pm: ALL-PLAY! 

10pm-midnight: Dance

Midnight: cleanup and pickup

We are presenting three concerts this week. All are at 7pm in the PAC. They are free and open to the public.

Tomorrow (Tuesday, 10/16)- The world-famous AM Jazz Ensemble in concert, with three of our fantastic small jazz combos. This concert is mandatory for all members of the FM Jazz Ensemble.

Wednesday, 10/17- Piano recital

Friday, 10/19- The United States Air Force ‘Band of the Golden West’ performs at Rio! Our Honors Concert Band will open the show. This concert is mandatory for all members of our Intermediate and Advanced Concert Bands.

Rio Band will be host to several guest artists this month.  The Marquis Hill Blacktet will be performing for students in the band room during 3rd and 4th periods this Friday.  Mr. Hill and his group come to us courtesy of the Mondavi Center where they are performing this week.  Here is link to more information:  https://www.mondaviarts.org/event/2018-19/marquis-hill-blacktet

Rio Band will also be host to guest artists Allison Miller and Boom Tic Boom on October 18 during 3rd and 4th periods in the band room.  

And finally our Honors Concert Band will open for the US Air Force “Band of the Golden West” on October 19 at 7:00 pm in the  PAC
