Rio Band Families,

1. On Tuesday, March 29th we will be joined by Out of the Blue, an all-male a cappella (unaccompanied vocals) group from England’s Oxford University. OOTB was runner-up on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ and they are including Rio on their US West Coast Tour. Look them up on YouTube; you’ll be amazed by their talent, showmanship and sheer adorability. They will be in the band room from roughly 3:15 to 5:15pm on 3/29. They will perform for us, and then conduct a clinic for everyone in attendance. Everyone is welcome, so make sure to join us!
2. Our move-out date has changed again, due to delays in the approval process at the state level. Our new date for the move is May 2nd.

This past weekend, Rio had two combos performing and competing in the Woodcreek Jazz Festival in Roseville. One of Rio’s groups again took first place. Congratulations go out to Hunter Middlekauff, Neta Galili, Carrie Gipson, Haley Furlong, Cameron Hoxsie and Gabe Carpenter. 

We are still in need of volunteers for the Dinner Dance this Saturday.  Please follow this link to see the list of open spots.  For a really great event, we need all spots filled:  2016 Arden Rio – Rio Arden Dinner Dance

Our “Say Goodbye to the Band Room” party will be next Wednesday, from 6 to 8:30 pm. A flyer is attached. It will be an informal Open House setting. Everyone is invited! Students, parents, alumni, staff, community members, neighbors…

Come celebrate the 50 year history of this beloved building, before it is torn down this Spring.
