Here’s the latest-
Congratulations to the Rio Band students who were selected to take part in the American River College Honor Band, taking place this Friday and Saturday- Neta Galili, Natalie Kowalski, Julianna McMorris, Hannah Thompson, Hunter Middlekauff, Jon Crawford, Alta Rose Mullen, Jonathan Stacy, Antonio Lopes and Hayden Powell. Way to go!
We have two Guest Artists joining us this week-

All band students are welcome to join us for either or both clinics. They will not be excused from their classes, so if they wish to come, they will need to work it out with their academic teachers.

A few items to share:
- Our next Small Ensemble Night will be this Wednesday, 11/18 at 7pm in the band room. Come on out!
- This Thursday, 11/19 will be band picture day. We’ll take group pictures for the yearbook, and they may be made available for purchase by families. More info when I have it.
- Mr Kiesner and I are members of the Sacramento Jazz Orchestra (SJO), which has many of the area’s finest Jazz musicians. We have two gigs coming up that some of you may be interested in attending. This Sunday we’ll be performing a set of all original music at CSUS, as part of the Festival of New American Music. The free show will be at noon in the CSUS Recital Hall. On Monday, 11/30 SJO will be playing Yoshi’s Jazz Club, at Jack London Square in Oakland. Show time is 8pm, and tickets are available at yoshis.com

Due to shifting dates for the impending construction and move, we are rescheduling (again) two concerts.
The Winter Concert- already rescheduled for March 1, will be moved back to its original date- February 9th.
Small Ensemble Night, already rescheduled for March 2, will be moved back to its original date- February 10th.
