AM and FM Members and Families,
We will again be participating in the upcoming Folsom Jazz Festival, to be held on Saturday, January 23rd at Folsom High School (FHS) and Rolling Hills Christian Church (RHCC) in El Dorado Hills. You can access the full schedule and lots of information at FolsomMusic.org
Here is the (tentative) Rio performance schedule:
Combo II- 8:50am in the FHS library
FM- 10:55 in the FHS band room
PM- 1:40 in the FHS theater
AM- 3:45 in the RHCC auditorium
Combo I- 5pm in RHCC room 3
At 12:15, the Ron Cunha Big Band, in which I play alto sax will perform in the FHS theater. Check it out!
The Awards and Showcase concert will be at 6:15 at RHCC. Please plan to stay for the entirety, as Rio bands are often selected to perform in the showcase. The John Daversa Band will be featured. Mr. Daversa attended Rio in the 1980’s.
Dress is the usual festival formal. Make sure to arrive no later than 45 minutes prior to performance times. Do NOT be late.
Entrance is free to all performers. There is a $13 charge for all audience members.
