Today we are giving out t-shirts free to every member of Rio Band. They are meant to promote building the “Rio Americano House of Music” with Measure N funds. SJUSD will be deciding fairly soon how to spend funds at each school site, and we want to make sure they understand how important music is at Rio, and how much community support there is behind the idea of a quality performance facility at Rio.
These shirts are available for purchase by the general public for $20 each. Proceeds go toward publicity for the “Build it!” project and purchasing instruments for the new performance space. Sizes available are: youth XL, Adult S, M, L, XL, XXL
Funding for the production of the shirts was provided by an anonymous donor. Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Anonymous!
The shirts were designed in memory of Niko Winchell by his mom, Sonya Winchell.
