Today we are giving out t-shirts free to every member of Rio Band. They are meant to promote building the “Rio Americano House of Music” with Measure N funds. SJUSD will be deciding fairly soon how to spend funds at each school site, and we want to make sure they understand how important music is at Rio, and how much community support there is behind the idea of a quality performance facility at Rio.

Pops In the Quad
On Wednesday, October 9th we will put on our first ever “Pops in the Quad” concert, outdoors in the Rio Americano Quad, featuring our 3 fabulous Concert Bands. I’ve attached an informational flyer. The concert will begin at 6:30pm with our Intermediate Concert Band, followed by Advanced Concert Band and finally Honors Concert Band.

Our Pep Band is being run very differently this year. All band students are required to participate in Pep Band at home football and (some) basketball games.
